When you contact us, subscribe to our journal, book a discovery call, or apply for membership, we may collect your name, your email address, the nature of your inquiry, and any details about your property or travel preferences you choose to share. We also collect anonymous information about your visit to our website — pages viewed, device type, country of origin.
We do not collect payment information on this website. Payments are processed externally by our payment provider, under their own terms.
To reply to you. To send you the journal essays you subscribed to. To improve our website, our services, and how we present them. To run our business, which sometimes means keeping records as the law requires.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. Ever.
To run a modern hospitality business, we work with a small number of trusted technology partners — email delivery, contact form processing, calendar scheduling, payment processing, hosting, and analytics. Each is contractually bound to handle your information solely on our behalf and in accordance with applicable data protection law. We are happy to name our specific processors on request.
Write to us at any time at aladdin@maisonaladdin.com to request a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct anything inaccurate, to ask us to delete your data (unless we are legally required to keep it), or to unsubscribe from the journal — which you may also do with one click in any email.
If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA. We honor those rights regardless of where you live.
Our website uses minimal cookies — strictly necessary for the site to work, or to anonymously count visitors. No advertising cookies. No cross-site tracking.
Journal subscribers, until you unsubscribe. Inquiries, up to two years. Clients and members, until our relationship ends plus the minimum period required by law for tax and accounting. Analytics, anonymized after fourteen months.
